Seahorse Cards

My latest batch of cards made using some of the toppers I had started – not added sentiments yet. All made with my new Kuretake Gansai Tambi Japanese Watercolour Paints (36 Colour Set) from Amazon. The stamps were from @Wish and the starfish embellishments and coloured beads were too. I highlighted the seahorses with gold Spectrum Noir Sparkle Markers. The other embellishments were my favourite Nuvo Drops to match the backgrounds. I used a metallic multicolour stamp for some of the greenery and added highlights with a white gel pen. All in my favourite colours! If you know anyone who would like a card like this please get in touch.

Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolour paints

I’ve been playing with my new watercolours today. I saw them on a jennifermcguireink video and she recommended them. They are by Kuretake Gansai Tambi Japanese Watercolour Paints (36 Colour Set) which I bought on Amazon and arrived today. Not brilliant photos but I couldn’t wait to share. I will post the finished cards when they are done. The paints are beautiful and so easy to use – almost make me look good. If you want any crafting ideas then watch Jennifer’s videos – they are so clear and informative – so glad I found her when searching for craft videos. My other two favourites that I follow on You Tube and Instagram are The Hedgehog Hollow and Katherine Warner. Check them out.

Twinkling H2O Cards Made Up

I stamped the flower and butterfly images using Versamark ink in my Tim Holtz stamping platform. I then heat embossed with Wow Embossing Powder Opaque Bright White. I coloured the images with LuminArte Twinkling H2O’s – Ivy Iris, Cherry Sorbet and Razzleberry. I also used these colours for the background of the butterflies. I matted the finished panels in coordinating card and made the cards up. As a finishing touch I splattered some of the same colours using a brush on the backgrounds and added pearl gems or Nuvo Drops in Pink Champagne and Wisteria Purple. Finished off with sentiments and peel offs.

Watercolour Flowers

I’ve not really done much water colouring but after watching a few videos on YouTube I had a go. I picked up a few tips and this was my first attempt on watercolour card. I used a small palette I already had plus my Twinkling H2O’s.

The main tip I saw was to lay water down on the pre stamped Versamark and white embossed image before adding the colour. I’m very pleased with the result so will be practicing more in future as I think water coloured flowers look beautiful.
